Does your plant like to Climb?

A lot of tropical plants like to vine or climb. In their natural habitats you can find them growing on trees and other plants. If you’d like to provide something similar for your plants at home, try a moss or coco coir pole!

Providing your plant with something to climb can help it grow faster, larger, and mature sooner. This is because you are giving it physical support to help hold its weight as well as mimicking its natural growing conditions. Both vining plants, like the Lemon Lime Philodendron, and self-heading plants, like the Pink Princess Philodendron, can benefit from being attached to a pole.

To attach your plant to a pole, simply stick the end of the pole into the soil, then gently secure the plant’s stem(s) to it using something like string or velcro tape. Ensure that the material you use is non-abrasive and not too tight, so you don’t cause damage to the plant.

We recently started carrying poles by Mossify. You may have seen them on Dragons Den! It's a Canadian company who specialize in products for your climbing and vining plants (and they are kinda cool too!)
